Good price, good productI have been using this for few months now, no splintering, smooth rolling/turnover. Couple times a week use, use it for snatches, squats, cleans, dead lifts etc. no problems with it. I do not drop my bar much, so cant and wont speak to durability of you are an athlete that drops or bounces bar a lot. But for what I have used and experienced it has been great sturdy and does as the rouge bars in the gym. I would recommend it to anyone on a budget.

Excellent qualityAs good as or better than any bar I've used in a gym. This is light-years ahead of the generic bars you can get at a chain sporting goods store. Knurling is not too rough and not too smooth - just right.

Gets ‘er doneGood bar. It squats. It deadlifts. It cleans and snatches. If I was hardcore into Olympic lifting, I might upgrade to a bearing bar, but for home gym purposes, this one gets ‘er done. A lot of chrome-finished bars I’ve seen in the past had problems with the knurling being too smooth, on some matte-finished bars have knurling that’s too rough. This bar’s knurling is just right. Plenty of grip, holds chalk, but doesn’t gouge up your back under a heavy squat. No complaints on this product.
