Perfect parasol for the terracebought this umbrella to replace my previous one, which came with a glass table and four chairs. It fits perfectly into the hole in the table, but the legs aren't long enough for the base. It's very windy here, so we had to find something to hold the umbrella down. I ended up buying a flower pot and using the umbrella on its own, without the table. The umbrella is well-made and very sturdy. The fabric is thick, and the frame is sturdy plastic. Considering how good it is, the price is surprisingly high. I love the tilt feature; we use it to shade the living room windows from the afternoon sun.

Great 7.5 foot umbrella, but a bit highbought two 7.5-foot umbrellas. The fabric is durable, and the plastic tip and clasp are beautiful. They look great and offer plenty of protection from a breeze. However, the lower bar is 5.6 inches longer than my previous 7.5-foot umbrella and many other umbrellas (making the overall height higher but providing less shade). The plastic tip also has an inch cut off at the tip, making the canopy slightly smaller. I should compare the heights of different brands, but I haven't. Everyone says this umbrella is a good value. (P.S. I tried cutting 5 inches off the lower bar with a hacksaw, but it was too thick, so it didn't work.)

This is a great umbrella.This umbrella lives up to its name! It works great and is easy to set up and use. I love the crank feature that rotates the base. I noticed a small screw was missing during delivery, so I contacted the manufacturer and it arrived within two days. I highly recommend using the steel ribs anchored to the concrete for optimal stability in wind. This umbrella is well-made and durable, and I give it a six-star rating!

Not bad, but very high!So far, I love this umbrella. It seems well-made and durable. The crank handle works well, and all the functions are easy to use. But! The umbrella is so tall (8 feet), no one can reach the tilt mechanism, which is 6.5 feet above the canopy! And that's just to reach the button. Because the canopy is so heavy, you have to hold your hand far above the tilt mechanism to prevent it from falling down when you press the button. The only way to do this is to stand on a stool or chair. And unless you want to keep the umbrella upright and tilt it all night, you'll have to do it again.

Large waterproof umbrella, very good qualityThis umbrella is incredibly large! Not only is it large enough to provide ample shade, but it's also exceptionally well-made. The metal pole and base make it sturdy enough to withstand the umbrella's weight, wind, rain, and even light snow. The base comes with two pockets for sand or rocks, which is a great feature if you're using it as a standalone umbrella rather than attaching it to a table. The base also includes a canopy, which protects the sand from moisture and adds a touch of sophistication to the overall look. The umbrella is vibrantly colored and provides excellent coverage. Made of fade-resistant material, it retains its color for approximately five years, even when not covered. It also comes with a protective cover, making it perfect for winter storage. Since I live in an area with harsh winters, I'm happy not to have to lug this heavy umbrella around in the garage—I can just drape it over the umbrella for protection. One of my favorite features is its height. My husband, who is six feet tall, can easily walk under the umbrella without having to bend over or worry about bumping into it. This is a huge plus for those who dislike constantly adjusting their positions to avoid obstacles. The only downside, in my opinion, is the crank mechanism. I've never been a fan of crank mechanisms, and this umbrella is no exception. To open it, you have to adjust your posture, bend over, and maneuver the fabric to avoid hitting your face. I think a more ergonomic or automatic opening system would be better, but this is purely personal preference and doesn't affect the quality, durability, or practicality of the umbrella. Overall, this was an absolutely fantastic purchase! It's a great addition to our outdoor furniture, especially since we love hosting get-togethers later in the summer. While the price is a bit high, I believe this reflects the quality of the product. There may be more affordable options, but I'm not sure they match this level of durability and design. Highly recommended!

Good quality, suitable size, easy to installbought it after reading reviews about its ease of assembly and durability—both of which were spot-on! Assembly was simple, and once it was up, it felt very sturdy. The size is great—it easily covers two lounge chairs with some left over. It provides excellent shade and blocks UV rays well. I love that it's wide enough to cover a large area of my deck. The base system is clever. It comes with sandbags, which I filled with water instead of sand (much easier). The removable cover hides the weight pockets, so it looks clean. It's much better than those bulky tripod bases. It holds up well in light winds, and the crank handle simplifies adjustments. For such a large umbrella, it's an excellent value.

Perfect and at a good price.It's stable even in moderate winds and comes with a heavy-duty stand, a small umbrella table, and bricks underneath for added stability. It also stays securely in place when lowered in strong winds. The included Velcro strap is a nice touch. Lowering the umbrella is easy. I haven't used the tilt feature, but I did try it once and it worked. Don't trust tilting umbrellas when the wind is blowing where we are—I'd just move my chair into the shade.

Very satisfied with this product.For the price, I think the workmanship is good. The fabric isn't necessarily thick, so I'll see how durable it is. I bought one about a month ago, and on the first windy day, a gust of wind blew one of my open umbrellas through a hole in the patio table. I had forgotten to tighten the screws securing the frame, so the umbrella wasn't secure at all. The umbrella was completely ruined and unusable. The four arms were severely bent or broken, suggesting a less durable construction. Other than that, I'm very satisfied with the product.

Works great, just don't forget to turn it off in a rainstormI have four of these lights on my patio, and they look great and work great. However, the one I bought a few years ago broke. It was probably because I left it out on a windy day. It was basically one of the top struts that broke—I used it for about six months before it broke down a bit more and I threw it away. Honestly, I still think it was worth the money, as it lasted several years. I recently bought a few more because they look so great, and I try to remember to tie them down after use!

Looks sturdy and well madevery nice umbrella. The colors are vibrant and uniform. The top vent seems to work well. We experienced three days of gusty winds here, reaching up to 60 mph, and it stayed above the patio table. My previous umbrella, we had to find during lighter winds. It's a little awkward to open because you have to lean over the table and reach under the umbrella to start cranking it. Then, when the umbrella is in front of your face, you have to bend down under it again to finish cranking it. It's not difficult to operate, but I've always wondered if insects (like spiders) would find a closed umbrella a good place to hide or nest. So far, so good.

goodI wouldn't say these are the best patio umbrellas I've ever bought, but they do work. I think the material is a bit cheap, but they look good. I ordered three. costway delivered one to my door. The other two were abandoned half a mile away. Luckily, a neighbor who knew me saw them on the side of the road and called me. I had to drive to get them.

Beautiful terrace umbrellasbought this umbrella as a replacement. I was aiming for a good deal. It was the cheapest I could find, and it's a really great product. The color isn't my favorite, but it looks really nice. It's easy to assemble, and it has all the features of more expensive umbrellas. You can tilt it if needed. It also comes with a cord, which my previous umbrella didn't have. I really like this feature because it's been incredibly windy in the Chicago area lately, and attaching the cord has been a breeze. If you're still undecided, this umbrella is definitely a good choice.

Indestructible...at least mine is.I've owned this umbrella for two years, so I feel fully qualified to give it a five-star review. It's faded a bit...after two years, that's to be expected, and it's not bad at all. This umbrella has withstood some high winds. Granted, it didn't open during those events, but it has been moved around quite a bit. While it was mounted on a table, we had hurricane-force winds one day last summer. The table was flipped to the ground (by the way, we're in Nebraska, not Florida, haha). The umbrella was still usable, undamaged. The next event was a major thunderstorm. The table was thrown again, and the glass top shattered. The umbrella remained intact. I'm a bit attached to this thing now, and I feel like it needs to see its life to the end, until it falls apart and fades to white.

Two years and two months, year-round, rain or shine, still going strong...bought this umbrella two years, two months, and nine days ago, and it's still in mint condition. If I wanted to take better care of it, I'd store it in the winter, but I like its snow protection since I use my patio and grill year-round. Of course, it's prone to fading. We get temperatures over 100 degrees Fahrenheit (37 degrees Celsius) in the summer and dip below freezing in the winter, with deep snow, sometimes over a foot (in those cases, I take it down and shake the snow off). There are a few wrinkled-looking spots on the underside (not really wrinkles, really), about an inch or two long and an eighth of an inch wide or less, and it's just worn down in a few places. This is because I use it so often. With the way I've treated it, I'll probably want to buy another one next year or the year after. If I store it in the winter or cover it when not in use, its lifespan can at least double. I noticed when the wind was strong and took it down, but it at least withstood gusts of 20 miles per hour. Of course, it's wise to keep it covered even when you're not using it. But sometimes I put things on the table under the umbrella because I know it'll protect them. So I rarely put it down. If the snow is really deep, I'll put it down and knock it off. More than three inches, and I'll probably just knock it off. Because it's affordable, I recommend it. I did buy a second one for a less-used area of the yard, so I can put it down more often. But I also considered the issue of sun fading. If I want it to fade evenly, it's better to hang it up... or put it down and cover it. If it's down instead of covered, I expect it to develop streaks over time from uneven sun fading. It's obvious, but people always ignore it and complain (completely their fault). There's a novel idea to put it down and cover it, but I don't do that, so it doesn't hold up 99% of the time. Of course, putting it down and covering it would extend its life even further. All the mechanisms are well-made, the pole is sturdy, and it tilts; it's not a shoddy pole or mechanism. You can rely on it. I like both colors I bought (they don't look like each other, although they complement each other). You need an umbrella stand... I have a neighbor who doesn't seem to understand this concept. Twice, when the wind picked up, I pulled her umbrella off the street because she always left it upright without a stand. It was basically a sail. A good umbrella is worth the money. Buy a good one. You can't skimp. What matters is how you secure it to the stand. If I don't have one of those stands (a good, old-fashioned piece of steel with a post for the pole and a bolt with a wing nut to secure the pole), I'll use a heavy-duty stand, but I'll drill holes in the stand (apparently not all stands have holes for this) and then drive screws or bolts in on both sides to prevent the umbrella from flying off. I've seen people put their umbrellas on stands without actually securing them together by screwing the bolts on the receiving post and the pole together and then tightening them to prevent them from falling out. Then they wondered why their umbrellas flew off. The stand can't hold the umbrella down unless you lock the two together. That's why the bolts or screws are needed. I know, this should go without saying, but then again... we've all seen the complainers who don't get it. In theory, anything wider than the hole in the table can be used (if that's your application), and putting a post there that locks securely to the bottom should be enough to prevent it from blowing away. Even if it's lightweight, as long as it doesn't fall off, fly off, or break in strong winds, it's best to use a fairly flat (1/4-1/2") round solid steel base with a flange. It's heavy enough that people can tilt the stand and roll it on the edge to reposition it, and there's no bulky, sand- or water-filled base to interfere with your foot position when you stretch your legs. Besides, those bulky plastic umbrellas seem to crack and break easily. As long as these umbrellas remain affordable, I'll continue to recommend them and will definitely buy more as gifts or to keep more for my large yard. I love having different places to hang out.

Perfect for summerCompared to my previous patio umbrella, this vented one offers better wind protection, even when tilted. It's easy to assemble, and the hand crank operates smoothly. My backyard and patio face northwest, so the umbrella must be able to tilt to block the afternoon sun. I love how it looks on my patio. In its standard upright position, it covers a typical patio table and chairs, plus four seats. Affordable price and good qualityI've bought three of these. I've had the first one for over a year, and I recently bought two more. Installation: They assemble in seconds. Just insert one tube into the other until the locking pin clicks. Usage: They're easy to raise, lower, tilt, and tie. There's a crank to open and close the umbrella. It's connected to a small rope that runs through a pole and up to a pulley, which then pulls the umbrella up and down. I know that rope has a limited lifespan, but after a year, mine is still looking good. When you open the umbrella, you can tilt it at the push of a button. It has three lockable angles. Some umbrellas can be adjusted to any angle you want, but I never need that level of precision. The umbrella has a tie-down strap so you can tighten it when closing to prevent wind from blowing in. Finally, the top of the umbrella has a double-layered canopy to keep the wind out in strong winds. It works very well. My 35-pound base held up well in most winds. I haven't tested it in strong winds yet, but I'd need at least a 50-pound base to do so. Quality: It's not as sturdy as some $300+ umbrellas, but it looks great, has retained its color after a year in the sun, and looks like it will last 3-5 years, which is pretty normal even for expensive umbrellas. At one-sixth the price, it's definitely a better buy.
