Great material, wish the bracket was widerAlmost gave it 5 stars! The material is surprisingly good! My only minor complaint is that the blocks supporting the ramp could be a little wider. My baby was annoyed because the blocks would fall out easily from underneath, so we had to put a few blocks side by side and then maybe get a few new ones depending on the number of blocks.

Great train setI bought this train set for my 4 year old grandson and he loves it. The trains run well and the sound and steam effects are great! The reason for giving it 4 stars is that they provide the train track plans and instructions, but there are not enough tracks to complete half of the plans, which is disappointing. I also don't know where to buy extra tracks. All in all, I recommend that you be prepared that you may not be able to complete some of the more interesting configurations.

The best table I have ever foundAffordable price and pretty solid construction. Very easy to assemble with only 32 screws and all holes pre-drilled and only takes 30 minutes to assemble. My 3 year old plays with it all the time. The price is the lowest of all the tables I found and it comes with quite a few track pieces. A must have for any kid who loves trains.

Great little set! It has everything you need: train, crane, bridge, truck and accessoriesThis set is very well made. The pieces fit together very precisely and although it's small, it has everything you need: a working crane, three types of cargo that can be loaded onto the train or the included truck, and a bridge that the train can actually pass under without getting stuck. It also has characters, signs, and trees. My grandson, who is three and a half, loves this set. His dad has a bigger set at home, but this one fits perfectly at my house or when traveling. It comes in a small box that makes it perfect for taking with you. We're going on vacation next week and I'm definitely putting this in my suitcase!

Large train set that's loads of fun and easy to assemble, perfect for a rainy dayThis is a great train set. It's bigger than I expected but has provided hours of fun. It's easy to assemble but the process is fiddly so it takes at least 30 minutes to put all the little parts together. I think it's worth the money. I've been using it for a few weeks now and it's been a lifesaver on rainy days or lazy days when it's not possible to go outside. It looks beautiful when assembled or designed the way your child wants it. I love this set very much. The different stations like police, fire and even crane operation provide deeper imaginative playtime for little ones. I will stress that this is a fairly large set and is best built on a dedicated train set table or on the floor so it won't be stepped on.

The durability and feel of wooden toys can't be replaced by smooth plastic toys that break or get stuck in a child's throat. They have the originals from the 70's and Thomas toys. Really interesting, but a bit more plasticky than I likeThis train set is amazing and has everything a kid could want. Mountains, barns, cranes, crossroads, police stations, bridges, switches, dog bone connectors. My son already has a lot of wooden tracks and accessories, but since this is his favorite toy, we are always looking for more. This set did not disappoint in that regard. My only complaint is that there are so many parts and accessories, all of which are plastic. Especially the carriages. They look lightweight and cheap compared to our wooden carriages. Electric trains are a must. We have a mix of battery operated and push trains for lots of variety.

Our son loved itI bought this for my 4 1/2 year old son because it's simple and doesn't require electricity. We didn't expect he would love it so much. He loved it so much that we bought a wooden set to give him more fun. He loves it so much: he always says he wants to go home and "play with my trains" when we're out. This morning he woke us up at 5:45 so he could continue playing. I think this is the best recommendation for kids.

Our kids were so excited!Excellent table - I built it myself in one evening. The next day the wife had all the trains and tracks put together. It looks great - lots of features for the kids. Our son basically never leaves it - we used to have to play with trains on the ground - now that we have a small table he plays more by himself and we can sit on the chairs to play. It's a hit - we did a lot of research before buying this - it has the best reviews of any of the products. It's a large piece. We bought it thinking it would be tucked into a corner of our living room - it takes up a large portion of our living room. But it's great if you have a playroom, basement, bedroom, etc. and the size is perfect. costway helped us out a lot with this - the first box opened up and had huge holes in it etc - we weren't sure if all the parts were intact. We wrote to them and they promptly sent us a replacement just before Christmas and told us to throw the current one away or donate it (we gave that one to a friend who couldn't afford a gift this year and I remember they were just missing a few screws and found it at Home Depot). Thanks costway for helping us make Christmas special for our kids (and others).

Enjoyed a few minutes; solid and well made...wish there were more tracksIt's plastic, but well made and will stand up to the torture of a 2 year old playing with Godzilla. He'll play with it for 20-30 minutes until he gets tired of it and plays on it like Godzilla. The train or cars will not be damaged by picking it up and dropping it. The remote is great. It's easy to start and stop the train, change speed and direction. A must buy one with a remote in my opinion. It's easy to set up and put away...less than 5 minutes. The track has extra locks that can add a little to the setup time, but I don't use them. When placed on a flat floor, the track is stable until the monster attacks the track. On carpet, you may need to use the locks. The train is easy to place on the track and it stays on the track even when driving backwards at full speed. It also runs fine on floors without tracks (but you can't control its direction). The only two minor issues...the steam option works, but is a little tedious (but not too bad...you can still see it). I wish there were more tracks...there is enough track to go around a medium sized Christmas tree and it's enough for a few minutes of play. But, more track might be more fun when we're not wrapping the train around the tree. There is an option for a few more tracks, but no remote control. I feel a remote control is a must.

Great train ride for kids or adultsMy 5 year old loves this train. The lights, sounds and steam make it look so lifelike. The track is easy to put together and take apart, but I am not a big fan of the small parts that connect the track. It would be better if the track could be connected with snaps instead of a bunch of small parts to put together and take apart.

The perfect starter kitI'm not going to lie, I bought this for nostalgic reasons. I had a bunch of these wooden train track parts when I was a kid and I regretted throwing them away because I always took them out at Christmas time to put around the tree. These are almost identical to the ones I used as a kid and are probably better quality than what I used to have. The fit is a little loose but that's perfect and you wouldn't necessarily want them to friction fit together. Definitely worth the money compared to other brands. I do wish it came with more car and train parts, with only one engine it seems a little lackluster but I can see this being more of a complement to other sets to make larger tracks.

Reversible runway accessoriesThis would make a really great gift for my grandson! I test built the track before packaging to make sure I had all the pieces. The pieces do form a perfect figure 8, but some pieces may need to be flipped over! Don't think you're missing out on a piece quickly, because they are reversible. This train set is adorable and comes in its own box. I also added a train whistle and an engineer hat (both bought on costway) to complete the theme...so cute!

Depends on where you want to take it.This toy was a birthday gift for my 3 year old son and it was probably his favorite toy of the night. But when he plays with this toy, the trains run on both sides of the container so it's basically a hollow box. On hardwood floors, this toy is not very quiet. I bought this toy to keep put away until Sunday for him to take to our 1 hour church service where some kids his age prefer to run around rather than play with most toys. It's enough to hold his attention but too distracting for those around us because you can clearly hear him driving the trains and moving the decorations which make a loud clacking noise. But it would be perfect to take it to the park or a friend's house. It's not suitable for a quiet indoor setting like a meeting.
