Good productI find this product much more practical than Rubbermaid and the price is more reasonable. It comes in 16-inch sections with hooks. The exact size depends on how you use it, but I used 6-inch spacing between sections. It works great.

Excellent storage solutionWe added a fantastic storage rack to our garage. We can finally keep all our drills and batteries in one place for easy access. I'm planning to buy another one to store other tools. The nuts were a little tricky to assemble, but I luckily used a pair of vises. The rack is incredibly sturdy and great! It's not as big as it looks in the pictures, and I don't think it would even fit a circular saw, let alone two. We still have two jigsaws, though. I mounted it directly to the stud because I didn't want to have to fiddle with the studs because they're so heavy. Well worth it.

A great solution for home storageSuitable for light to medium loads. I bought two shelves to store gardening supplies, such as empty pots, nets, hand tools, and more. All parts are included. The instructions are pictures, not text. One step was a little confusing, but overall, assembly was easy. They recommend using a rubber mallet, which was helpful. The assembled shelves are sturdy, but I don't put a lot of heavy objects on them. I got the results I expected. The shelves are exactly as described and are a good value for the money.

Yes, but I will do it again. Must haveThe finish is great, the hooks are easy to adjust, and they feel sturdy. Overall, this hanger makes organizing your garage a breeze and is a must-have for everyone. I mounted it on a stud. My studs are 12 inches on center instead of 16 inches, which is where the holes are. Overall, it's a great product and I would buy it again. I like that it comes with screws and wall anchors. It's a great value for money.

Sturdy frame, but installation was a bit difficultWhile a sturdy rack, it was somewhat challenging to install, with the metal brackets being thinner than ideal. However, unlike smaller 26-inch-wide racks, this one is sturdy and quite rigid. The center brackets are quite thin, and this design requires twice as many screws as thicker brackets. As a result, the rack is slightly off-square after installation, though this is only a cosmetic issue. Installation was also difficult due to some of the screws being close to the sides.

Excellent shelving unitWhen I opened the box and prepared to remove the parts of this shelving unit, I was quite skeptical. The parts themselves seemed very fragile. The legs were still wiggling and very flexible during assembly. I was about to return it. After I attached the first shelf, it was a little stiff, but once I put the whole unit together, I was surprised by how sturdy and well-designed it was. I will definitely be ordering more and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a shelving unit.

Great way to organize my tools.It works really well and was very easy to assemble. The material is very thin and lightweight, which made it very easy for me to install it myself and also meant it didn't put any extra pressure on the wall. The shelf space was spacious enough for my needs. They're also sturdy enough to handle the weight of my tools without any worries. Sturdy, easy to assemble, and reasonably priced for outdoor farm drying racksThe racks arrived ahead of schedule. They were quick and easy to set up. They're now being placed under the outdoor patio, ready for the farm's harvest, and as you can see in the photo below, they're already being used to dry early-ripening garlic. I think the racks are reasonably priced and the size is perfect (much deeper than other racks I've found). Hopefully, they'll withstand the weather (with the protective overhang) and dust.

Overall solid, poor packagingLet me start with the positives. This rack is sturdy and mostly easy to assemble. Everything comes complete with it, except for the screwdriver for tightening the center bracket. Overall, I'm very satisfied. However, the packaging wasn't great. The racks are made of thin MDF, and because of this, one of my racks was damaged. Additionally, due to poor packaging, some of the metal was bent during shipping. I had to hammer it straight to fit all the parts. While the packaging was okay, this could have been avoided with better packaging materials. I was also disappointed with the fragility of the racks. Yes, it reduces weight, but it's very easy to damage. I'm still keeping and using this system, but I probably won't buy it again.

Excellent garage storage space.Very sturdy garage shelf. Just like other reviewers have said, it feels flimsy, but once assembled, it's very solid. A fantastic garage shelf. I wish I had room for another one. I'd try to install it close to where you'll be putting it, which makes it much more convenient. If it doesn't fit, you can easily move the frame without pulling out the shelf boards. Just don't pull up on the shelf rails, or they might pop out. It's not a big deal. It really helped organize my garage. Like another reviewer said, the shelf boards are unfinished. Painting them would definitely extend their life.

Large sizeThese shelves were easy to assemble. I needed help getting the base straight, but now I can do it myself. The shelves are also height-adjustable. Be sure to wear the gloves that come with the set, because while the metal parts may appear smooth and shiny, they can sometimes have subtle sharp corners. The set also comes with a rubber mallet, but I didn't need it because the parts were already assembled and locked securely, eliminating the need for hammering.

Frame with perfect finish and excellent qualityI've bought a lot of shelves of this style, and this one is by far the best quality I've ever purchased. The metal surface is smooth and scratch-resistant, which enhances the shelf's aesthetic. Assembling the shelves was a bit tricky, but I managed it myself. I recommend installing the side brackets first, then the long brackets. This will keep the frame rigid enough and prevent the wobble and twisting that the long brackets cause, which is the most annoying aspect of this type of wiggle and twisting. Additionally, the shelves come with screw-fastened support brackets. I'm short, so I attached the two long brackets and the two brackets together first, then attached the brackets to the frame. I didn't want anyone seeing me disassembling each shelf, haha. It doesn't look very pretty. The 2-foot-wide shelves are much more stable than the narrower ones. I originally wanted to bolt them to the wall, but that wasn't necessary. These shelves are great. I bought another one because they're so unique. Lee might buy another one to use as a work surface. However, if I only put four shelves per frame, I could use a work surface with shelves to connect the two sets of frames. I use them for general household storage, so the weight limit is more than I need. They're more than strong enough. The unused holes can be used to add hooks so I can hang some miscellaneous garden tools.

Love it, just ordered a second oneIt wasn't difficult to assemble, but it did take some time to figure it out the first time. However, it was much easier and faster the next time. I bought it to organize my paintings and free up some space in our small apartment. My wife helped me assemble it, and it worked much better when we were together. It looks good, feels sturdy, and meets my needs perfectly.

It was much better than expected so I bought another one.Normally, I think of AmazonBasics products as "pinch your nose and hope for the best," as they're likely to fall short. But these shelves are anything but; they're incredibly good. They're well-made, and everything fits perfectly. They're easy to assemble. They're lightweight and easy to move. The shelves are in good shape and haven't warped. There's no odor. I recommend using a rubber mallet for assembly. I'm so happy with them that I bought a second one...and it's exactly like the first one.

Great product, easy to assemble and looks great.Assembly was so easy, I didn't even need to use a mallet to secure the shelf brackets in place, I just pushed them in and they slid right in - which is usually harder with these types of shelves. I'm not sure if these shelves would hold 800 lbs, I don't need that much weight on them, but they work really well for me.

I like these shelvesCompared to typical heavy-duty garage-style shelves, these were incredibly easy to assemble. I did need to use a rubber mallet to securely lock the components in place. If I remember correctly, the original description said they could be assembled without any tools, but that wasn't the case. Perhaps someone with significantly greater upper arm strength could assemble them. But that didn't affect my opinion of them in the slightest. The shelves are fully adjustable, without the annoying plastic plugs used to support them, which rarely seem to work properly. They can handle a lot of weight and don't look cheap. My only wish was that the plastic end caps came pre-assembled. The corner supports have very sharp ends (hence the need for the plastic end caps), and I did cut myself a few times (minor) while trying to fit them in place. I found it easiest to just plug in the small end openings and gently tap the corners into place with a rubber mallet.

Lightweight but strongwon't be putting tires on them in my garage, so I didn't really test their strength. But they do look nice, feel sturdy, and definitely served their purpose as storage in my basement. They were pretty easy to assemble. Make sure you have a rubber mallet. I didn't, so I just wrapped a regular hammer head with electrical tape and got the job done. A wooden mallet would have been even better, though. This was a one-person job, and I finished the second one much faster than the first. They're lightweight and easy to move around.

Great value purchaseNeed some storage space with a relatively small footprint? When I first took it out of the box, it seemed flimsy, but once I added the final shelf, it felt incredibly sturdy. I found it easy to assemble. Its interlocking construction and sturdy shelves make it functional. Based on past experience with this type of shelf, I wouldn't put it on top, but it's incredibly practical. It fits neatly in some tight corners around the house and is spacious enough to store a lot of items, storage boxes, and more. It's not as attractive as I'd like, but those that look nice aren't as practical. This model looks nice enough for a hidden corner and gets the job done. If you're creative, you could probably decorate it.

Great, and easy to set up yourselfneeded bookshelves for my home library. I wanted a ladder with wheels, but they cost thousands of dollars. I couldn't find any cheap bookshelves for under $80. I've used these bookshelves in my basement before, and they're sturdy. Amazon's bookshelves have locking mechanisms, while my previous bookshelves just had four metal brackets that slide in. These are much more secure. However, the metal on the top and bottom is sharp. You can put on covers, so put them on first! The only difficult part is connecting the top and bottom legs to the middle shelf. It would be easier to install with a second person, but it's not necessary. I had help with three of the four bookshelves I assembled. It took about 30 minutes to unpack the boxes, put the bookshelves together, move them, and cut through the four boxes.

Strong and lightweight aluminum frame; particleboard shelves are prone to chipping and water accumulationWhat I Liked: - Product is brand new - Assembly is as easy as building a large Lego frame; just make sure you have a suitable rubber mallet. - Lightweight aluminum frame - Comes with rubber guards to protect the corners. What I Disliked: - Several of the shelves had already started to chip on the corners upon arrival - There were scratches on the metal parts because they weren't individually packaged - The box and packaging material didn't seem designed to withstand the wear and tear of shipping and handling. - The shelves are made of particleboard, which can chip and/or crack easily - There aren't enough additional rubber guards on the corners. I recommend sealing particleboard shelves with some kind of waterproof sealant, taping the edges to prevent chipping, and always being mindful of the sharp edges of the frame.

Sturdy and easy to assemble.I ordered two a few weeks ago and just put them together this morning. The first one took about 25 minutes to assemble, and the second one took another 15 minutes, so it's pretty easy to put together if you're methodical. I didn't have a mallet, so I used the back of a plastic wheel brush, about 4 inches wide, to hammer it in. To get it assembled in 15 minutes, I followed these steps: First, I attached the plastic ends to the vertical pieces, then assembled the bottom bracket, then the middle bracket to connect the vertical pieces, then the top bracket, and finally the other two middle shelf brackets. I moved the unit into place and placed the shelves on the brackets. I've ordered two more and am writing my review now! I hope I can have the same experience again.

Big shelfThis shelf is very sturdy and easy to assemble. We use it as a pantry, and the size is perfect for us. I love the lightweight aluminum construction (it's still very sturdy and easy to assemble or move). Unlike some other reviewers, I have no complaints about the packaging or damage. My shelf is flawless, and it only took 20 to 30 minutes to assemble. My wife loves it!

Purchased: July 11, 2017 Reviewed: February 24, 2018 Have been using this product for 7 months.usually like to try a product out for a while before reviewing it. I use this shelf to store work documents. Some of the boxes weigh 50 pounds, and each shelf holds three boxes. Was it easy to assemble? On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being very easy), I'd give it a 6.5. I had a hard time getting the various sized beams right and figuring out how to position them. I recommend fully assembling the bottom shelf first, including laying down the particleboard. That way you'll understand how the other components fit together. The instructions are simple and could be better, but come on, it's a shelving unit after all. I don't fault the manufacturer for the instructions and assembly diagrams, unless they're missing a part, and this shelf comes with everything. Also, use a rubber mallet when hammering tight-fitting parts into place. Using a hammer can damage or warp the metal, and trust me, you don't want it to warp. Would I buy this again? As long as the manufacturer and seller continue to use the same materials, don't cut corners, and continue to make it sturdy. And as long as the price stays under $40. It's not that it's worth $40. I just know there are so many options under $40 that would suit my needs, and I refuse to pay $100 for a single shelf. The particle board is incredibly thick, heavy, and well-made. Does that mean you can put it outside or in a damp area? Absolutely not! Come on, guys, it's particle board! Mine currently sits in my basement near the washing machine, but my basement isn't damp, and I live in North Carolina. I've purchased six other metal shelves from various places, and this one is by far the sturdiest. I plan on buying this again. Now that I have it ready and know how to assemble it, I imagine I won't have too many problems putting this one together. Haha.
