Doesn\'t lastBought first one in 2024, lasted a few months then the top wouldn\'t open automatically anymore.;I let the seller know it is under warranted for 1 year but she said because I purchased it through Amazon it wasn\'t honored. However after I complained she shipped me a new top but told me no more warranties.;Within 10 months the top stopped opening automatically once again. Replaced batteries but still didnt work;Junk.....

Very compact with nice features BUT arrived with a couple small dingsDespite being very well packaged the trash can has 3 small dings. It took me a while to pull the trigger on this purchase because as trash cans go this one is pretty expensive. It had all the features I wanted so I got it. I love the size - it\'s perfect for just 2 people. I really want to give it 5 stars but those little dings are staring me in the face every time I look at it. Unfortunately, there\'s only one way the trash can fits in our kitchen so I can\'t turn it to avoid looking at the dings. I guess I could return it but I\'ll give it a few days to see if I can live with it.

Meets purpose, but that’s all!Beware. Common 19 Gallon trash bags don’t fit and company does not make any. I had to go up a size. I don’t use the compost compartment which actually would get in the way of the trash. Actually we have more recycling than trash so I’d rather the recycling parts be bigger. They fill quickly and it’s only 2 of us in the house!

Good productMine arrived with a large dent on the front. But it works well and the batteries have lasted the month I\'ve had it for. It looks big on the outside, but the actual space inside it small due to the drawer underneath which I haven\'t ended up using.

Customer service AmazingTo be honest, I made a mistake after buying the bin. I washed it with water and soap, which I later found out I shouldn’t have done. This damaged the electronic board, and it stopped working. When I contacted customer service, they sent me a new top lid for free. I really appreciate that!

Compost does not smellLove this garbage can! It fits nicely in my small kitchen. The compost bin holds in smells. Only draw back is the size of the recycles bin. They are a little small for a family of 4. Other than that great item. I\'d buy it again.

Mouth too wide for standard bags, lid stopped working after 5 months, not worth the moneyThis trash can is a great idea. I love the drawer with the recycling bins. However, it has some flaws. The mouth is very wide, so if you\'re using standard kitchen bags you have to stretch them to fit around the lip. Also, it gets dirty easily, regardless of their claim that it is fingerprint resistant. But the worst part is that after 5 months the lid just stopped working. I gave it a thorough cleaning and put brand new batteries in, but it\'s dead. And there\'s no way to replace only the lid, so I would have to pay the very expensive price to replace the whole thing. I\'ve decided the convenient recycling drawer isn\'t worth another couple hundred bucks.

Space Saving TrashcanI love this vertical trashcan. There’s an ease in using the compost bucket as it’s on the top part of the trash bin. The bottom two recycling sections are small, but good for a household with 1 to 2 people, not a large family. It came packed beautifully and completely protected from any dings or bangs from the delivery. It looks very nice, does not show finger prints, and it’s easy to wipe clean. It was expensive, but I think well worth the money as it saves a lot of space for a kitchen in an apt.

Nice ProductToo bulky for us. Doesn\'t seem to go right in our kitchen. Had to return. If you have a bigger size kitchen might work for you. Merchant was easy to work with.

Best trash bin I’ve ownedAfter a few months using this and I would say it’s been very useful. It’s made it easier and mandible when it comes to splitting things up between recycle, food waste and other trash. I use the bottom two bins for recycling items, the larger area above for regular trash and the smallest one for food waste. I don’t mind changing the food waste bin often since it’s small.

PRICEY$$$!!!Three stars given because I think it\'s wayyyy over-priced! It\'s flimsy and should have better construction for the price. It works great for keeping all your trash, food scraps, etc. in one convenient place. The food scrap bucket/handle should be sturdier- I\'m afraid every time I pick it up, the handle will snap off. There should be a way to hang the trash bags in the main compartment so they don\'t show on the outside. Good idea & it looks nice but it costs a lot more than it should.

Great investmentI was going around in circles trying to find something for recycling (do I do 2 trash bins, hamper style, give up storage space for a pull out cabinet trash bin?). For the price of the other options I was looking at I decided on this one cause it takes up the space of one trash bin. It works great, lid opens and closes with motion, and is very sturdy. I originally wasn’t going to use the additional 1 gallon kitchen waste bin but that’s our favorite part. This waste bin keeps the smell down and trash bin clean (plus is that the 1 gallon non-zip storage bags fit great as liners).

Very convenient!I love the fact that this trash can has 4 compartments. It\'s perfect for my kitchen where I on any given day I throw away trash that needs compost, recycling and sometimes neither! A good size as well. As a lot of others commented, the usual trash bags for the big container run a little small but I still overall love it and have made adjustments for that. I also bought these 3 gallon trash bags for the smaller containers and they are perfect!

Eats batteriesI wanted this to be the perfect solution but it\'s not quite there. It can only be opened with batteries so if they die you have to replace them right away. Unfortunately the spot I keep this in is near a window and the sunlight will trigger the motion sensor so it opens and closes all the time. I like the recycle bin drawer but wish it was only one bin instead of 2. The bins are too narrow to fit our recycling. We buy costco trash bags and they are too narrow to fit on the bag ring so we have to stretch the opening everything we change the trash. It is great quality and looks amazing. Guests alhave even commented on how much they like it. Unfortunately the function is just off enough to be annoying.

Money SaverFor a very long time , I threw beer bottles, and soda cans to recycle. Because it gets complicated to separate regular bottles, cobble boxes for recycling. Now the bottle deposit fee has increased to $.10 each in my state. The amount of bottle I throw away could\'ve gotten worse up to $10 each month. Without adding an extra recycle bin to the kitchen. Now I can’t just throw the beer bottles and a soda can to the little container under the garbage bin. Also, I love seafood. Or the waste starts smelling within two days. Either I have to throw these away separately, or throw the garbage right away. With this little bin inside the garbage bin, I can just bag the seafood waste into a small bag and leave it in the little bin. I wish the garbage’s size could be a little different, because I have some challenges putting a regular 13 gallon garbage bag in the bin.

All Trash Cans Are DumbCould have been a great product, but some genius made the ring to hold a standard large kitchen trash bag too big. You can still stretch a standard 13 gal tall kitchen bag, but you run the risk of it ripping.;We removed the top inner trash bin and it\'s bracket so it doesn\'t interfere with filling up a trash can. This feature really is useless as designed, but it is still a useful container if used elsewhere.;The dimensions are good for a small area of wall space and gives gives us the multi-purpose storage space in the bottom, which is why this product gets 2 stars rather than than standard 1 star for trash cans. While it still sucks as a trash can, it does provide useful storage space.

Works as described, using recycling bins for another purpose.We were trying to find a good trash can for our new kitchen and after browsing for quite awhile, we decided on this one for the motion sensor and bottom drawer. The bottom drawer is on wheels which makes it easy to pull out.
We don’t find the recycling bins big enough to use for recycling, so we’re using them to store trash bags and cleaning supplies which actually makes it easy to pull the bin out and take the cleaning supplies from room to room.Posted on

Great Looking and Efficient Trash Can but I wish a few things were differentThis is a great looking stainless steel Trash can. The lid functions well but maybe too well. Everytime we walk by the trash can , the lid opens unfortunaly and this is a slight inconvenience.
Here are some other things I wish this trash can had then it would be a 5-star one.
- The opening of the trash can is too large for 13 gallon trash bags I have. They rip as I try to put them in and I tried 2 different brands.
- The switch to turn off the automatic lid is under the main cover and in the back so you have to put your hand in the trash to turn it off if needed. We have a cat and I would like to turn it off when not home. I wish the switch was easily accessible.
- The compost bin inside is plastic and hangs on to odors even though we use a liner. I wish that bin was also made out of stainless steel and i wish there was a way to prop the compost bin lid while putting stuff in from the plates etc,Posted on

All-in-one bin solutionWhat appealed to me with this item is it replaced 2 other bins.;Where I live, we have green, clear & blue garbage bags. The smallest bin will hold a small bag while the main bin holds medium bags. The two other bins on the bottom hold my recyclables, but you can use it for whatever purpose you decide.;If you plan on using the automated features, you’ll need 6 AA batteries, but it isn’t required.;The bin is tall and stylish which matched my other appliances.;For me, this was the perfect space saver, one bin does it all.

perfectwe\'ve been wanting a trash can for both recycle and trash, but the ones side by side are so small (6gallon at most on the majority??). this one was perfect, it fits our 13 gallon trash bags on top, it came with a smaller composite container, think thats the only thing i would make optional as we didn\'t need it. the bottom bins are small but enough to hold 2 regular bags (like grocery size ones). its enough for multiple cans and bottles though. decorated ours, so far no complaints.

Love it!I don’t know about you but mom of boys here and let me say-that this trash can is the best. Finger prints?? where?! Yeah, I’m an adult now so it’s nice having stainless steel and not having to clean off finger prints every 10 minutes. It’s nice being able to throw food in a little bin while recycling and whatnot. Definitely worth every penny. It’s so easy to remove the bag when needing to be replaced and the quality and sturdiness is just amazing. Smell is well contained. Oh, and before I forget the lid is great! You can turn off the feature to automatically open and close.

Best all in one binIt’s not cheap but it’s definitely worth it. For starters, it looks nice! The big size is nice, we use 13-gallon trash bags for the upper area. The two recycling bins at the bottom we disregard separating our recycling since everything goes in one bin for collection. And the compost mini bin inside the top area is really great. It’s not too big or small, and it keeps any smells from coming out. This is one of the best purchases I’ve made.

good productthey made the top a little larger than previous models which is a big plus. easier to fit trash bags. lower container for recyclable items. the only drawback is they have smaller trash cans for the bottom which are useless. you can barely put anything into them.I found a plastic bin at ikea that I had to grind down a little and it works great. i can put a plastic liner in it. they need to get rid of those 2 small plastic bins and put one large bin in

OrganizedI love this garbage bin. It made my kitchen much organized and efficient. Every part is well made. Perfectly made for its functions. It offers plenty storage space. With batteries, the lid open and close automatically which add to the overall convenience. The only thing I wish it had it the option of the base of legs, so we don’t need to physically move the can when mopping the floor.

As the photo above clearly shows, mine arrived with a small dent. This is a VERY expensive item so why am I giving it the full 5 stars?
A year ago, I bought a similar large stainless bin and it arrived completely beaten up! Seriously, it looked like it had been hammered on every side. Had to return it. When this one arrived, its box was pristine. Inside, I must state that it was really well packed and protected. Huge and scary amounts of styrofoam! But, they couldn’t have done better work packaging this! So, either this small dent was there before packing or it’s just the nature of the beast to dent in transit— I’m NOT sending this one back! I’ve used it a week and I’m very pleased! Yes, I wish it didn’t come dented but maybe mine is a fluke— it’s still the best out there. Would recommend!Posted on

Good quality, sturdy and good sizeThe opening and closing uses 6 AA batteries which is great. The can comes in an extremely well protected box with sturdy styrofoam. It is described well on the photos from the seller. I am very with this item.
The only thing I wish it had is the option to have a base with legs so is easier to mop the floor without having to physically move it because it is a heavy garbage can.Posted on
