Good pen, with modificationsEasy enough to construct, follow the instructions carefully as some bits look like other bits, you'll want to pay attention to which way everything faces! We replaced the wire with aviary wire which took some time and cost more, but is much better protection against foxes who can chew the thin stuff. Waterproof cover will likely need replacing regularly - it's thin and ours is already starting to drip after a couple of months, but overall this is a really handy pen, and great that it's metal - reduces risk of mites, and rot.
We dug a trench round the pen, lined that with bricks and wire and created a wire 'skirt' again to stop any foxes or vermin digging into the pen. So a great frame, but requires a bit of lateral thinking to make it truely safe for your gals.Posted on

Cover needs improvementI really like the design of this chicken coop and the cover does a good job of protecting my chickens from the sun. However, I have noticed some leaking during rainstorms, so the waterproofing could be better.
